Resources
We understand that life during and after military service comes with unique challenges, and our goal is to help connect you with organizations, tools, and support systems that can make a meaningful difference.
Goshen Farms
Goshen Farms is a Christian mission-driven farm and veterans support initiative near Ben Wheeler and Van, Texas, founded by Reverend Gail Bowen and her father, a WWII U.S. Marine, through Abigail International Missions (a 501(c)(3)). The program combines agricultural work with compassionate outreach, offering food, clothing, shelter, and assistance with medical paperwork and VA benefits to veterans facing homelessness, disability, PTSD, or financial hardship. Veterans live and work on the 22-acre farm—helping care for animals and farm operations—in exchange for housing and support while they work toward stability and self-sufficiency. Goshen Farms also provides bunkhouse accommodations, referral services, transportation help, and connections to other veteran resources, all at no cost to those it serves, relying on donations and partnerships to fulfil its mission of giving a “hand up” rather than a “hand out.”
